Alaska Trophy Moose
[ OVERVIEW ]
Moose hunting is done in some of the brushier terrain in our hunting areas, where they feed on willows and begin to gather their cows for the rutting season in mid-September. The Alaska Peninsula moose population is on the rise, providing an excellent opportunity for hunters looking for a trophy moose. Hunting is done on foot from comfortable spike camps. We are targeting trophy moose above the 60″ antler spread.
Wildman Hunt has maintained a 100% success rate on quality bulls in the past three seasons. Wildman Hunt clients have received several awards for top ranking trophy Alaska/Yukon moose in both the Safari Club International and Boone and Crockett record books. Wolves may be taken on any of our hunts and help maintain healthy populations.

Your Registered Guide
Aaron Johnson was born and raised in the southwest portion of Washington State. He grew up an avid hunter and spent many hours hunting the Washington backcountry near his home. His first season on the Alaska Peninsula was in May of 2006 where he packed for Master Guide Tracy Vrem of Blue Mountain Lodge. Two years later he obtained his assistant guide license and has been working seasonally as a big game hunting and fishing guide in the years since.
Aaron currently serves as Wildman Lodge’s Chief Pilot and holds numerous pilot certifications: commercial single engine land and sea, instrument, flight instructor and flight instructor instrument.
Aaron’s big game experience and aviation skills make him the perfect transitional guide to oversee the hunting operations at Wildman.
Aaron founded Oros Outdoors in March 2024 in order to partner and provide the registered guide services needed for Wildman Hunt.
